The unexpected geometrical sublime from the ordinary man-made materiality. Chance versus control. An ongoing natural-artificial quest.

Immersive video installation
Material Seduction (2013) happened by chance when experimenting with Static Field 's previous work. One plastic piece fell inside an aluminium tube that the artist bought to frame one of her works.
When the artist looked inside, she discovered a myriad of hypnotic geometric shapes interacting with light, colours and materials obtaining a mesmerizing kaleidoscopic effect.
The video idea came naturally when trying to capture such sublime variations in between changes.
The metallic sound, recorded in real time by the artist, is making the visual experience even more interesting leaving the audience suspended into an ongoing quest.
