Plant Me in the Wild (2026) is 'Kept [amends]' ultimate project to contribute to rewild native casuarina across three main Australian habitats: riverside, inland and coastal.
The artist has researched and collected seeds from Casuarina glauca, cristata and equisetifolia cones and has even included instruction how to grow their seedling.
On the way out, visitors are invited to take one illustrated and printed handmade seed envelope for free containing five seeds for each casuarina species.
It is an invitation to just not talk about ecological restoration but commit to do hands-on-work into the soil.
Volunteering for nature and in particular for casuarina rewilding which role is so important in fixing nitrogen and stabilising riverbanks while feeding wild ancient birds species such as the yellow and red-tailed black cockatoos.
