Digital video

Processing (2026) is a video reportage of the Kept [amends] exhibition’s work in progress including the fire ceremony in which the artist performs a shamanic ritual to release the noxious vine’s energy, protecting the native habitat.

The artist has documented the artwork across one year journey by harvesting, separating, assembling and disassembling, sewing and gluing the organic noxious material.

It is a slow time process necessary to embody the ecological legacy and colonial reparation for a native environment redemption.

The field recording sound of papery dry inflated capsules while are separated from its heart-like leaves and seeds, of the sewing machine and of the artist's chants, contributes to make the video a cacophony of amplified and animistic reality.

The smoke and fire ritual of some artwork’s samples is anticipating the second part of ‘Kept [amend]’ which is consisting in performing, filming and burning the entire artwork in an enclosing pit.
